List of All X-Men Movies in Order: Have you watched all the X-Men movies? There are 13 movies in the X-Men film series. There are three original X-Men movies (2000-2006), three Wolverine spin-off films (2009–2017), four X-Men prequels with a new cast (2011–2019), and two Deadpool spin-off films (2016–2018). The newest, thirteenth movie (August 2020), The New Mutants, is set to conclude the X-Men film series.
Now, since Marvel created all these characters, you may be wondering why the X-Men series is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The answer is simple. Marvel had financial problems during the 90s so they sold the rights for some of their characters (X-Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four). Those days are over now. In the future, all movies based on Marvel characters will most likely be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which means these characters may overlap in future movies).
